Our Impact
LICOS sees it as its duty and privilege to undertake educational and
healthcare initiatives and projects in Liberia, such as renovating
dilapidated school buildings, distributing educational materials in
schools, making vocational training programs possible, and
facilitating necessary health care where needed.
What We do
LICOS strives to promote recreational and cultural activities for the Liberian community to unify and enhance its importance. We also seek to intensify friendly relations with other African diaspora communities in Switzerland and Europe.

The LICOS Community is currently seeking applications for the positions of Secretary General and Financial Secretary.
Our current Secretary General and Financial Secretary will continue serving in an acting capacity until 1 September. We encourage all eligible members who are interested in contributing to the growth and development of the community to apply for these leadership roles.

Our Projects
Generating Funds
LICOS participates in the famous Afro-Pfingsten Festival with a food and beverage stand to celebrate our unique cuisine and generous hospitality
Community Minded
LICOS welcomed and embraced five young
Liberian students from war thorn Ukraine and assisted them with,
among other things, purchasing their first Halbtax-Abonnement for
the public transport system in Switzerland
Education
The LICOS Back-to-School Initiative, in collaboration with the local MOCSA Foundation, supplied fifty students with essential school Materials for the start of a new school year
Health
LICOS supplied the ATCH (Antoinette Tubman Cheshire
Home), an Institution that caters to the needs of children and
persons with cerebral palsy, mental and physical disabilities, with
nine new hospital beds.
