Project

In February 2020, LICOS carried out the COVID-19 Initiative to help feed people experiencing homelessness in Monrovia.

COVID 19 INITIATIVE: US$1’200.-

Project

In May 2020, LICOS raised funds through donations to assist with the repatriation of a member to Switzerland for medical treatment, who was involved in a horrific car accident in Liberia.

SOLIDARITY CARMEN: US$2’070.-

In December 2020, LICOS carried out the Back-to-School Initiative. LICOS, in collaboration with a local Foundation, MOCSA, supplied many students with essential school materials for the start of the school year.

BACK-TO-SCHOOL INITIATIVE : US$450.-

In 2022, LICOS carried out the LIVAP Project, assisting a primary school with renovating a girl's lavatory and the roofing of a classroom.

In 2022, LICOS contributed to a local Foundation's Monkey Pox Awareness campaign in Liberia.

MONKEY POX AWARENESS CAMPAIGN: US$ 1'000.-

LIBERIAN STUDENTS FROM THE UKRAINE: FR. 1'200.-

At the beginning of April 2022, seven Liberian students found their way from war-torn Ukraine to Switzerland. Five of those students were granted the S Status by the Swiss government, which permitted them to live and work in Switzerland. LICOS welcomed them and assisted them with, among other things, purchasing their first Halbtax Abonnement for the public transport system in Switzerland.

Project

In February 2024, LICOS supplied the ATCH (Antoinette Tubman Cheshire Home), an Institution that caters to the needs of children and persons with cerebral palsy, mental and physical disabilities, with nine new hospital beds.

Project

In May 2024, LICOS began assisting the Jerome Neufville Memorial Institute with purchasing school furniture and renovating the school building's roof.

In May 2023, LICOS participated in the famous Afro-Pfingsten Festival with a Food and Merchandise Stand celebrating our unique cuisine, clothes, etc., to generate funds for our Association.
