On June 1, 2024, the voting body of the LICOS elected the following members to head our community for the next two years.

Mr. Ernest Sherman
Chairman
Ernest’s commitment to social causes is demonstrated as an experienced leader with over two decades of successful work in various humanitarian and development organizations, including as CEO of Making our Children Safe Again. His extensive network spans Liberia, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States. He currently holds the position of Chairman of the Liberian Community of Switzerland (LICOS).

Mr. Mark Sheriff
Vice Chairman
Mark is a service-oriented and dedicated individual who has built a remarkable life around compassion, community, and charity, with a heart that has always leaned toward helping others. His community-oriented approach sets Mark apart, rather than focusing solely on individual acts of kindness.
His compassionate leadership has helped foster a culture of giving, inspiring others to act and contribute to the common good to build a strong, united LICOS.

Ms. Geraldine Kumakeh
Secretary General
Geraldine is a dedicated and detail-oriented professional with extensive experience in administrative roles. In the office of the Secretary-General, she excels in managing and organizing the necessary administrative tasks to ensure the efficient operation of LICOS.
Geraldine’s exceptional communication skills and strategic thinking make her an asset in coordinating meetings, handling correspondence, and maintaining records. Her proactive approach and ability to work effectively under pressure make her a reliable and efficient Secretary-General for our LICOS:

Mrs. Lucina Fina Blatty
Financial Secretary
Lucina has been an integral part of the restructuring and renewal of LICOS beginning in 2019. She firmly believes that the Liberian Community of Switzerland has immense potential to impact Liberia positively, especially in the education and healthcare sectors.
Lucina has occupied the position of Financial Secretary for numerous years for an Africa-oriented association, and she endeavors to use her experience to continue the positive financial accountability record of the previous EC of LICOS

Former Secretary General of LICOS

Mr. Johnny White
Human Rights Practitioner
Serves as a Human Rights Officer with the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Geneva, Switzerland. Previously worked as a Human Rights Officer for the Independent National Commission on Human Rights in Liberia. Former student and youth leader who worked for the House of Representatives of the National Legislature of Liberia. Advocate for morality, equality, and justice
